Weekend @ Kochi
Hmm.. So, after a period of 1 month (infact 40 days..) I finally had an opportunity to get out of my house in Kochi and go out. All the time, it used to rain..
Three of us left to Fort Kochi in the morning. We travelled on a ferry in between to reach there. The journey on ferry is also not gr88. All I cud find was old ships(outdated nearly) and dirty water..
The first thing I liked and also the best was the seashore. Though we cannot get into water there(as its filled with plants and rocks), I just liked standing.... Just see the sea and take the feeeeellll.. :) :) I loved the beach so much tht I ditched my frnds who wanted to cover some other places there.
Another important and somewhat interesting one was the chinese nets across the shore. These nets used new mechanism to catch small fish near the shore. I repented fr not havin a cameraa.. Nxt time I go, I will definitely get one snap.. :).
That day I have been to Dutch Cemetary, Vasco Church or St. Francis Church and Dutch Palace. Cemetary has nothin other than tombs.. Din't find anything interestin there.. The Church was it seems the first on ein India built by Vascodegama and crew in 1500. The Palace has nothin abt Dutch ppl but a lot abt the Kings of Kochi.. Donno how the name has come... Paintings(of Ramayana) in the palace were not taken care off properly. U have to concentrate a lot to decipher the paints there.. It was the end of the exploration..
The next day was my B-Day. We actually planned to watch Dhoom-2. But, hearin the review got scared and didn't feel like spoilin the day. After all don't wanna repeat my Diwali-2004..:):) Did somethin equivalent to cuttin the cake..(Bought pastries yaar.. U see, no need to cut :) :)).. Bus, tht day went like that..
I decided to go to the seashore every weekend.... (If climate permits.. which is a big deciding factor here) :)
